A Beautiful Lifetime Event, SGA (McKay/Sheppard)
{{{hugs the flist for the birthday wishes}}}
And speaking of which, I mostly finished this up a couple days ago, but then I thought I'd save it for today and do a little hobbit-style birthday celebrating, and at the same time I finally updated my fanfic site with the rest of the SGA stories I've done in the last couple of months that I hadn't put up yet -- all, uh, *mutters fast* ten of them.
Many many thanks to Cesca, Julad, Mia, resonant for fabulous beta work, and to Ces for my very own miniature particle accelerator (heee) -- and special mention to Merry for the boyband line. (And Julad, I changed the ending, you were right as usual. *g*)
Spoilers for all of season 1; everything else is speculation. Set post-Siege 2 and beyond.

Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans.
Teaser:
"Well, how was I supposed to know?" Rodney yelled, wide-eyed and panicky. "You're the one who activated it!"
"You're the one who told me to touch it!" John yelled back.
"Oh, like you didn't want to!" Rodney said.
"I didn't know what the hell it was going to do!"

Happy Birthday, Shalott!!!
And thanks for the new story. Here I was upset that I had nothing to read for the weekend; what a pleasant surprise... *printing out*
Now I have to wait until my tea is done, otherwise I'll ruin the keyboard.
And happy birthday. How lovely of *you* to give the prezzies.

And Happy Birthday!
Hope it's a great one!
And I hope you either got, or lost interest in, that scarf! :-)
Also, happy birthday!
almost.
okay, i teared up but thats all.
and the sex? because let's not forget that. hotness, but not the center of the story, which was perfect.
Secondly--this is not my usual cup of tea. But of course you've managed to write a wonderful, beautiful, elegant and believable story yet again. I was both laughing and crying most of the way through, and when I finished I just had to bawl for a little bit. (Apparently I am incapable of reading about happy things without getting all teary. Such a girl.) Anyway, thank you for the wonderful hobbit-gift.
Aw, damn, here I go again just thinking about it. *sob*
*g*
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday, dear.... Ooooo, look, new story. *wanders off, never to be seen again*
I have never seen Atlantis. But this... oh my god, this is gorgeous and real and I want to have its little mechanically conceived babies. Squee! *loves*
Also making the Stargate program public was a great idea and love how perfectly it fits in with John having to seriously think about not going on missions anymore.
Wow just wow. The sex was great too and I love the first kiss being in Target(hee i almost said Wal-mart cause here in TN Wal-mart is king) in front of the TVs.
