Please, let me just take a moment to flail over the fact that you've written White Collar! I love your writing so much, absolutely everything you write, and I literally did a giddy little dance when I saw Peter/Neal/Elizabeth fic from you on my screen. :D This is funny, and hot, and sweet, and has everything I love about all three of these fabulous characters. (Especially the part where Peter points out that Elizabeth would never leave him, no matter how much he told her to.)
Personally I am sure they are going to break *MY* heart, because what I really want is the show that is Peter and Elizabeth Burke, sekrit masterminds, lovingly recruiting Neal into their vast criminal empire and also their bedroom. *g*
This was wonderful. I could feel the hearts in my eyes when this showed up on my flist.
Elizabeth folded her arms and raised her eyebrows, sternly.
My absolute favorite thing about Elizabeth is that she does 90% of her communicating nonverbally. It's so amazing.
And, yeah, there aren't many other ways the Peter-has-Kate thing could go, because no way is Peter the bad guy and there's really no other decent explanation for it.

This made me very happy. They should do it this way, is my thinking.
Neal's an excited puppy! Awkward confession to Elizabeth!
How sweeeet it is! /Jackie Gleason
*deep sigh* Ah, how very much I love you. :)
I love this - the overarching con, the way Neal fails to realise that he clearly means an awful lot more to Peter than any other criminal he's caught, and that while Peter is very clever and very kind, he is less adept at the people stuff than Neal is, so it was great to see the dynamic change up once Neal has made his decision. I can totally see Peter wanting to have Neal, to almost own him, without noticing or realising the sexual undertones.
Plus, the way you worked with El made me smile so much - this threesome is just so so much better than Neal/Peter would be without her, and more functional. I particularly like that you had her totally in control with Peter, but still blushing and getting a bit flustered with Neal.
So, um, yeah. This is awesome. I'm very glad I read it before I go and break my heart now... Hope you do more in this fandom and ship!
There's a moment in a new fandom, that first time you read a story that perfectly captures the characters as you see them, that works so well with canon that everything just slots into place inside your head, and you go from thinking that a pairing could be a possibility to knowing that this is how it will (or at least should) work out. And this is it.
This is a beautiful story that captures all three of them perfectly. It captures how they see themselves and how they see each other, and there are so many wonderful nuances.
I love that you explained away Kate, who never quite felt real in her distress, who never really showed why Neal felt so strongly for her. I love that Peter was able to be behind her disappearance but do it for a good reason (it's so like him to be devious and sneaky to make sure the right thing gets done) and I love that Peter's reason, the entire time, would be Neal himself. But Neal and Elizabeth would be the ones to recognise it as love.
I love how deftly you've handled the three different POVs, how everyone feels like themselves. How utterly awesome Elizabeth is, accepting and supportive; how Neal is brilliant and passionate, but surprisingly sweet beneath that; how Peter can be a
law-enforcing badass mastermindexcellent FBI agent and devoted, deeply-loving husband but still be the guy who doesn't quite understand relationships and the process of falling in love. They're *them*. And this is perfect.
This show does seem to just beg for it though, doesn't it?
And your character voices were so spot-on -- not a single wrong note to pull me out of the story -- that I am terribly jealous. And happy. And also jealous.
Anyway: this made my evening :)
This show, I can't even. *FLAIL*
LOLOL I was so busy flailing over show that I forgot to tell you how SCORCHINGLY MIND-BENDINGLY HOT this was. Well it was.

I loved this! Neal is so worldly and so vulnerable at the same time; that's what I love about the show and it came across so perfectly here! :D
Ok. When the show came on, would you like to know what I thought, IMMEDIATELY?
"Oh man, Neal and Peter should totally have sex. A lot."
And when I found out Peter was married?
"OH SNAP HAWT THREESOME ACTION YESSSS."
Followed closely by: "Damn, I wish this was one of Astolat's fandoms."
CUE YOU READING MY MIND/RECEIVING MY PRAYERS. HALLELUJAH.
(P.S.: I'm trying to assemble a recs list, and you [as in, your ENTIRE SITE] is the first post! Yay!)
