I really like the intensity of feeling that you convey here, too.
eta: ... and it took me this long to realize that the tentacles go with The Jacket - or perhaps I should say it the other way around: The Jacket matches the tentacles :-). Perfect! I wish I were better at visual art -- I can *see* the way their hands are close, the tentacles twining & gently reaching out to touch... I may have to make an attempt anyway.
