- I can totally imagine Archie being this oblivious, and I love his internal monologue, a little rambly and flaily and trying so hard to be nice. *smishes him*

-I also totally love your Cook SO MUCH. He's so exuberant and happy and slutty (of which I totally approve!). eee!

Cook had been really nice, and he was always trying to, like, make everything fun, even when stuff was crazy and they were all tired.
I like this image. It totally makes me think of La Vita e Bella and Cook as Roberto Benigni. It fits, don't you think?

I love it! oh so many things about this were just <33333. ugh. your Archie voice is fantastic and I think "Um, you kind of are," may be my favorite line because I could hear it in Archie's perfectly serious 'why is this funny' voice and oh. <3

also, I really like when Cook calls him 'Dave'. like I don't know there's something more intimate about it or something. but yes. this whole thing. yes. :)

good lord, i love this. i love, love, love it and i'm totally shameless with my adoration for all things cook/archuleta. and every so often, there's a fic with them that's believable and real and -- were you the same one, oh my god forgive me if i'm being a rude asshole right now, who wrote the gen fic with the plane and the crash and the GLORIOUSNESS? anyway. sigh, this is amazing. i want more of it. write cook/archuleta all freaking day, please. ♥

Funny, but I never realized that all this time, I'd still retained an inner conviction that ultimately I'd dodge the Special Hell.

Oh yay! I loved Fortunate Son(which, sorry, hadn't gotten back to leave feedback)and I generally don't do gen, and even then I was totally like -five years from now, they are so going to be a couple-so basically, in my head, there's like fanfic of your fanfic *g*. I loved the connection formed through the crash that probably never would have existed otherwise.

This is sort of the lovely flip side to that, where they are very connected the whole time, and Archie doesn't even realize, until he does. This was adorable and funny and sweet, and basically any Cookleta I've imagined, had that guitar scene in it, so thanks so much for enhancing the image.

I didn't think it was possible, but my love for Cook and Archie just went up by, like, a billion exponential points due to this story ♥

Cook being a slut sharing the love, of which he has a lot, is awesome! Especially when seen through Archie's (so, so, oblivious) eyes, because! Hilarity.

He was having trouble breathing, and he had that same awful squirmy shivery feeling again, and Cook's hands were on his skin now, all over, sliding his t-shirt up over his head. The feeling just got worse and worse, and worse, and oh, god, he never wanted it to stop.

*happy sigh* So wonderful :)

wow, that was awesome. i'm not even all that into the cookleta thing, but you so beautifully nailed archie's internal monologue... as i was reading it, it was like i could hear him saying every word. and, man, cook really is so touchy with people and archie is so not. makes for an odd pair.

so many lines made me laugh and/or nod at my monitor...
this kind of switch would flip where you weren't so much allowed in his personal space—anyone and everyone was allowed in his personal space—as you became part of his personal space.

He could sing, that was what he wanted to do, not give weird interviews that were the same ten questions over and over, especially when three of the ten were creepy questions about his dad, which, Archie really just wanted to punch whoever was asking. [me too, archie. me too.]

Archie liked that part a lot, Cook was really good at writing lyrics, and it was cool to watch his lines go through like ten versions, one word at a time changing, and see how that changed the rhythm and feel of the song.

Archie, who literally fell down backwards trying to shut his eyes and close the door and get away and apologize all at the same time. [LMAO. poor kid.]

Cook said, "I swear I'm not a complete slut," and Archie said, "Um, you kind of are," and Cook looked at him indignantly, and then he said, "Oh, god, I kind of am," and covered his face.

Cook was still kissing him, but also saying softly, "Shh, I've got you," and Archie heard himself saying, "Please." So, um, apparently this was the idea, and he just hadn't realized it before. [!!!!]

really... awesome job.

*flails* I'm thinking I should feel slightly uncomfortable about loving this so much, but I really, really don't. This is just all kinds of yay. Fantastic Archie voice. Sometimes I just find him too precious for words. And I could totally picture Cook like this. The guy's an absolute rock star.
