As I was saying all weekend, this was my first Vividcon ever! And hey! This is a great con! *g* I had a ridiculously good and relaxed time, and now I am home and my eyes are blurry from watching vids (and SGA, which made me utterly and uncritically happy with all the cute) and I am wiped out.
Also, the vid-of-my-con is already up,barkley and destina's Wiseguy vid to Take Me Out for Club Vivid, which will now join killabeez and Merricat's vid ETA: merricatk! to Only The Good Die Young (note, if you don't have the password, e-mail killabeez at livejournal to request it) in permanent rotation. I needed another fandom right now like a hole in the head, so, THANKS A LOT GUYS. :P *glares at destina in particular, who does this to me all the goddamn time*

I like the rhythm of the cuts you've put together: it's all very short and fragmented-feeling, and it goes great with the instrumentation/vocals on the song. I also seriously love the Wilson perspective that you've put together-- exasperated and annoyed and with ultimately a resigned sort of fondness. And that end clip, with Wilson walking away and House turning just as the guy says, "I fucked up the last line," is brilliant.

But onto Bukowski. *flails more* God, I can't even express the love. House! Wilson! It sums up their dynamic perfectly. There's that fantastic old-married-couple vibe, and this vid just nails it as to why Wilson would put up with him. The lyric associations had me in stitches, and the editing is just fantastic. House's arm movement at 1:30 "here we go" is just... genius. :D And so's the POV switch. Goodness, this is going on high rotation for the rest of the week. Thank you so much.

I was watching Bukowski again last night, and it's just so much fun. I don't even watch House, but the song is perfect (from what I can tell about House through fannish osmosis) and the way you make it move. I'm just in awe.
I'll open it up on one of the Ubuntu boxes tomorrow and play it on there. (I tell you this now in the hope that writing it down will imprint it on my brain enough to survive this post dropping off the front page of my flist. (I worry sometimes that nobody will notice when I get Alzheimers) Oh dear, double parentheses already! Argh!).

I don't see meta. I just... don't.
The last ep of House that I watched was 2x09. The formula bored me. The lack of character growth bored me. Chase not molesting 9 yro cancer patients bored me. Cuddy's cleavage bored me! I WAS SO BORED OMG!!! But this vid? OMG SUCH AN ASSHOLE!

House strikes me as a bitch of a fandom for a vidder, because of the talking heads, but you've really made it move. Correction, you've show how House and Wilson move. (Wilson's hand gestures cracked me up. As did the cigar.) It took me a few viewings to spot the POV shift, but now I get even more out of it.
As chance would have it, House vs. God screened just a couple of days ago down here, and it was great to have the context of the last clip at the top of my mind when I saw this. Perfect beginning, too.
